As the residential side of our waterproofing solutions became more popular, so too did the need for the flexible adhesive on a much larger, industrial scale. The business then escalated into the commercial market, working on projects as large as high rise buildings in the big cities.
Liquid Rubber
Liquid Rubber is a multi-purpose, liquid coating that solidifies into a tough, waterproof membrane.
It can be used for waterproofing, as an air barrier, and protection against corrosion. Adhering to most surfaces, once applied, the liquid turns into a waterproof rubber that can last up to a decade.
We have three types of Liquid Rubber available.
Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant
Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant is perfect for all your DIY waterproofing jobs around the house, farm, or workplace. Suitable for things like roofs, retaining walls, and ponds, it sticks to almost anything, including concrete, wood, and metal.
The basic form of Liquid Rubber is the most universal sealer and protector for all craftsman and kiwi DIY’ers.
Liquid Rubber Smooth Coating
Liquid Rubber Smooth Coating is designed either as a topcoat for our Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant, or on buildings that require high UV/solar reflectivity.
It is a tough, water-based coating which is resistant to yellowing and age crazing. The state-of-the-art UV absorbers incorporated in the mixture, assist in surface protection from the effects of sunlight. This reflects heat, sunlight, and reduces thermal heat transmission.
While Smooth Coating is not suitable as a waterproofing solvent on its own, it does increase the longevity of our regular Liquid Rubber by providing extra protection.
Liquid Rubber Deck Coating
Liquid Rubber Deck Coating is designed to provide a pleasing look and cost-effective surface for areas like patios, decks, and walkways.
Again, not suitable as a waterproofing solution by itself, the Deck Coating is designed to be used in conjunction with the Waterproof Sealant, making areas like factory floors or swimming pools more attractive.
Liquid Rubber Deck Coating comes in a standard light grey but can be tinted on request.
Liquid Rubber Seam Tape
Perfect for going along seams and joins in large, straight areas, our waterproof sticky tape adds an extra layer of protection to your roof.
The Seam Tape can be used to seal gaps, seams, tears and joins, and is perfect for restoring roofs, gutters, and skylights.
Our waterproofing Seam Tape comes in two types: Seam Tape and GEO Fabric.
The Liquid Rubber Seam Tape must be coated using one of Liquid Rubber coating products to form a durable waterproof, protective seal and to prevent against UV damage.
It can be used on a wide range of surfaces including concrete, brick, and tiles.
Our Liquid Rubber GEO Fabric is an alternative to our Liquid Rubber Seam Tape, but is recommended for more porous substrates.
GEO Fabric Tape is applied over the top of Liquid Rubber, and then another coat is added to give a completely waterproof finish.
