Waterproof Sealant On Bay Window
Client – Homeowner
Problem:
Bay window leaking
Solution:
As most people know, bay windows are notorious for leaks and our client approached us for advice and information on how to best fix their leaking bay window that was leaking heavily. We stripped off the current substrate and replyed the areas where the substrate was rotting. We left some butynol on there and then used liquid rubber to adhere that to the new substrate (Waterproof sealant is also an adhesive which is why it bonds so well to its substrate). We followed that up by using geofabric in unison with the waterproof sealant over the joins and screw holes, before applying a coat over the whole area making the whole area water tight.
Result:
This solution saved our client hundreds of dollars alongside the added advantage of having the leak fixed in one day.
