Encapsulating Asbestos Roof
Client – Penrose Factory
Problem:
To encapsulate an asbestos roof without out damaging the roof.
Solution:
We sprayed the asbestos roof with Cohe quick clean then rinsed off with a low water pressure house. We used waterproof sealant to encapsulate the asbestos and applied 2 layers of UVB stable topcoat.
Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant was a good solution as its exceptional adhesive qualities and waterproofing properties make it a perfect 2-in-1 system that delivers outstanding results.
Waterproof Sealant is easy to apply using a brush, roller or spray pump and can be applied to most common surfaces. To protect Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant from New Zealand’s harsh UV rays and increase the performance and life of the product, we applied 2 layers of UV stable topcoat over the waterproof sealant.
Liquid Rubber is water-based, non-toxic, solvent-free and contains no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) so is safe for both the person applying the product and the environment.
Result:
Liquid rubber provides a smooth, tidy and safe finished roof and we were able to encapsulate the asbestos without the factory stopping work, even for a minute!
