Water proofing solution for Auckland villa
Client – Homeowner
Problem:
This Butynol roof had extensive moss growing on it and leaks around some of the joints.
Solution:
Originally, our client wanted a new roof and called one of our preferred applicators for advice. After a lengthy conversation about the roof problem and the best solution for our client, the roof was firstly cleaned with a steam cleaner. Our preferred applicator used our self-adhesive seam tape to seal all the joints on the roof and this was followed up by spraying a layer of Liquid Rubber (waterproof sealant) onto the roof. Four days later two layers of our Smooth Coating was applied and this completed the job.
Liquid Rubber Smooth Coating is a water-based tough, hard-wearing elastomeric coating that is used primarily as a UV stable/protective coating over the Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealand. Supplied at application viscosity, it gives an extremely tough and hard film. Because it uses a high-performance polymer-based on urethane modified pure acrylic, it is resistant to yellowing and age crazing. It has state of the art UV absorbers incorporated that assist in surface protection from the effects of sunlight.
Result:
The customer was pleased with the results as the moss has been removed and the leaks have now been fully sealed.
