Problem: Leaking Extractor Fan
Our client noticed leaks running down their extractor fan.
Rather than paying for a professional to come and fix this, they used waterproof sealant with seam tape to seal up the areas making it perfectly water tight. After cleaning the surface, seam tape was used to bridge any gaps where water could be potentially leaking. This seam tape bonds excellently to itself making it very easy to work with. Following on from that, the waterproof sealant was painted over the seam tape to provide extra protection making it very water resistant.
Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant is quite literally a liquid rubber that can be applied like any normal paint to most common surfaces, to waterproof and protect surfaces. It is perfect for all your DIY waterproofing jobs around the house, farm or workplace. Due to it’s amazing adhesion to almost any substrate, it is the most universal sealer and protector for all craftsman and Kiwi DIY’ers.
The application of the seam tape bridged any gaps where there was potential for water to leak and by following this up with the water sealant, it provided extra protection making it water resistant. This was an easy fix and the results are as good as if the job had been done by a professional.
